Studio Alticcio is a one-person studio: writing, tools, and eventually objects. This page is the person.
By trade I am a lawyer, in Luxembourg funds. By inclination I make things: essays about connections between works that should not have any, and software for reading the books I keep — Lijn on iPad, a Plato port on Boox. There is also a NixOS server in a closet that runs the household: notes, photos, a library, and the small language models that sort them. The halves are less far apart than they look; all of it is mostly about reading carefully and writing things down.
The studio is named after a city in Alain Damasio’s La Horde du Contrevent: towers built in a mountain pass, a library whose books are its bricks. I read about it and kept the name.
Everything here is made slowly, in the evenings, on machines I own, and kept simple enough to still work in twenty years.
