Lijn

Effective 8 March 2026

Lijn is built to read comics, not to collect data. We do not track you, profile you, or sell anything about you.

Lijn does not collect personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not know who you are, what you read, or how you use the app.

Lijn makes network requests in three cases, all initiated by you:

OPDS catalogs. When you add an OPDS server (such as Calibre, Komga, or Kavita), Lijn connects to the URL you provide to browse and download books. These requests go directly to your server. We never see them.

Metadata lookup. When you search for book metadata, Lijn queries Open Library and other public APIs to find cover art and publication details. These are anonymous GET requests with no user identifiers.

iCloud sync. If you enable iCloud, Lijn uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your library, reading progress, and bookmarks across your devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account and is not accessible to us. See Apple's privacy policy for details on iCloud.

Your comic files, reading progress, bookmarks, annotations, and preferences are stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud container. We have no access to any of it.

Lijn offers an in-app purchase to unlock the full library. This transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.

Lijn does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we will update it here. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
